Moving To Lynchburg VA? Explore Downtown Lynchburg With Me!

When moving to a new city, it’s a great idea to watch videos showing you the different areas of the city and what they have to offer. This week, I’m sharing a tour of Downtown Lynchburg with you all. Downtown Lynchburg has a decent amount to offer for how small it is.

Percival’s Island is a great place to go relax by the river or take a walk. The bridge to get to the island has a beautiful overlook or the James River and the trail on the island is heavily shaded allowing for you to stay cool on your walk.

Downtown Lynchburg also features many restaurants, including Waterstone Pizza, Duke’s Diner, El Jefe, Shoemakers, RA Bistro, CinnCity, and Skyline. As well as a few bars, such as The Water Dog and The Glasshouse, the latter of which is reopening this summer.

For fun educational opportunities we have Amazement Square, which is perfect for the whole family since they have great educational activities for kids. The Lynchburg Museum is another great educational activity.

Lastly, we have Monument Terrace. This a series of steps that features many plaques and memorials to Lynchburg Veterans who’ve given their lives for the various wars our nation has fought throughout history. Check out the video to hear the story of Russel K. Blatz and his sacrifice. I was so honored to have had the opportunity to hear his story.

If you are considering moving to Lynchburg, then I hope this video has been informative and helpful in your decision-making process. Thank you and I’ll see you next week!
